On Tuesday, at 5 p.m., Lowerhouse celebrate the grand opening of the biggest outdoor practice area in the United Kingdom.
The area consists of six artificial practice lanes, and has been funded by the ECB and the club – a reward for the great work undertaken by Lowerhouse in junior cricket within the region.

It was built at a cost of £93,000.

The club has 130 juniors in 10 junior sides, and three senior sides.

The opening ceremony will be completed by David Lloyd, and other cricket dignitaries including representatives from the Lancashire Cricket Board will also be present.
