JAMES Anderson had declared himself fit for the crucial third Test with New Zealand.
England go into the final game of the series in Napier level at 1-1, having won the second Test by 126 runs.

And Anderson has passed himself fit to take part, after twisting his ankle playing football as part of a warm-down at the end of the third day's play of the second Test.

The 'Burnley Express' took over a third of the wickets on offer in that match at Wellington's Basin Reserve, and will look to repeat that form on a pitch that has been described by many as an ideal batting track.

He picked up figures of 7-130 from 35 overs, including a five-wicket haul in the first innings that helped England establish an ultimately key lead.

And all that after being drafted into the starting line-up for the second Test, alongside Nottinghamshire's Stuart Broad, in place of Matthew Hoggard and Steve Harmison.

Anderson will hope to propel England to a series win when the final Test starts in Napier on Thursday, starting at 9-30 p.m. GMT.
