Is it a record?
CLITHEROE Cobras Under 18s captain Ian Scott hit 152 not out for the club's third team at Salesbury.
And now the club is trying to find out if it is the highest-ever score by a youth team player in a senior side.
He joined his dad, Malcolm, at the crease when Clitheroe lost an early wicket and the family duo started to make good progress on a slow damp pitch.
At 90, Ian was joined by Paul Earnshaw, and their partnership flourished as the young batsman hit nine sixes and 16 fours, with some breathtaking hitting.
With sensible contributions by Chris Parkinson, Jason Walsh and Thomas Neville, Clitheroe reached 253 – far too many for Salesbury.
Tight bowling from Paul Earnshaw, James Scott, Mark Preston and especially Liam Nuttall (4-15) meant Clitheroe came out on top by more than 100 runs.
If anyone can help the club establish if Scott's knock is a record, please contact the club at Chatburn Road.
