JAMES Anderson guided England to a series win over New Zealand at Trent Bridge.
Test best figures with both bat and ball from the "Burnley Express" helped England to victory by an innings and nine runs, to take the series 2-0.
And his efforts were enough to give him the man-of-the-match award.
Anderson's dream Test centre around day two, which began with his highest Test score, 28, in a 76-run stand with Stuart Broad.
The pair added crucial runs at the end of the innings, as England added 91 to their overnight total to reach 364.
But it was with the ball that former Burnley paceman Anderson took centre stage, taking Test best figures of 6-42.
That would later be added to with a seventh wicket on day three, but it was his superb spell of swing bowling thast turned the tide firmly in England's favour.
Anderson struck with his third ball, with Aaron Redmond first to fall when he tried to flick through mid-wicket, missed the swinging ball and had his off-stump taken out.
And the same pole was sent cartwheeling out of the ground again as Brendon McCullum also tried to turn one to leg.
The 25-year-old then removed Ross Taylor and Daniel Flynn in the same over, before Jamie How and Jacob Oram were both caught behind by Tim Ambrose.
Debutant Gareth Hopkins was Anderson's final victim of the innings, taking his figures to 7-43, before two more in the second innings made him the leading wicket taker in the series with 19.
McCullum again played on having made 71, and fittingly, Anderson polished off the win when he removed last man Chris Martin.
