LETTER: Burnley cemetery is a credit to town

Well done Burnley Council. It seems the council tax in Burnley is being spent well!

Visiting Burnley Cemetery last week for a school friend’s funeral, I was amazed as to how well manicured everything was, especially with the summer we have had.

Paths were clean and well trimmed, as was the ground around the graves. It was clear a lot of hard-work had gone into the groundwork. Also, I noticed a number of very old graves had been tended and cared for. This to me shows the pride and respect given by ground staff to all our loved ones.

Well done Burnley Council and hard-working ground staff.

THOMAS, CUMBRIA
