FIREFIGHTERS were called to a Burnley engineering firm this morning after a fire started in an extractor fan.

The incident happened at Unison Engineering, on the Network 65 Business Park, near Hapton, at 11-20am. Crews used two breathing apparatus, a 10.5m ladder and aerial platform to tackle the blaze.

Employees were evacuated while firefighters located the fire. They spent an hour at the scene.
