QUIZ NIGHT – The St James’s Players are holding a quiz evening in St Luke’s Church Hall, St James’s Street, Brierfield, on Friday, April 8th, at 7-30 p.m. The event is in aid of the group’s funds. Entry is £10 per team. Contact 01282 454440.

PAROCHIAL CHURCH COUNCIL – The annual meeting of the Parochial Church Council of St James’s Church will be held in the vestry on Thursday, April 14th, at 7-45 p.m.

EXHIBITION – “That was Then: This is Now” is the name of an exhibition to be held at Queen Street Mill Museum from April 12th to June 25th. The exhibition consists of photographs from the collections of Burnley Borough Council and the Preston Photographic Society. Further information 01282 412555.

HALF-TERM – Queen Street Mill Museum is running Easter and springtime craft activities for children on week days from April 8th to 26th. The sessions cost £2 per child. For details, ring 01282 412555.

EARTH DAY – Queen Street Mill Museum is celebrating Earth Day, an event celebrated simultaneously around the world by people of all backgrounds, faiths and nationalities.

Activities will include recycled crafts, helping to make a gigantic mosaic and placing a ribbon on the wishing tree. The craft sessions cost £2.
