BURNLEY face a tense final day decider after their draw at Southampton was followed by a dramatic late win for Preston..
The Clarets knew a win would seal a play-off place, but a below-par showing against the relegated Saints ended in a 2-2 draw - with Brian Jensen saving a David McGoldrick penalty with Southampton leading 2-1.

And North End's 2-1 win at Birmingham leaves Preston two points behind - with a better goal difference - going into the final weekend.

Burnley are at home to Bristol City on Sunday, while Preston entertain QPR, although the Clarets can also peg back Reading and Cardiff.

10 mins – David McGoldrick shot deflected over. From second corner, Burnley struggle to clear, and the ball is fed in to Bradley Wright-Phillips, who turns and drills the ball in, his shot looping inside the far post off Brian Jensen.

Southampton 1, Burnley 0

20 mins – Simon Gillett beats the off-side trap and finds himself free on goal, but he shoots early and Jensen saves well.

25 mins – Chris Perry through the back of Martin Paterson, and is booked.

28 mins – McGoldrick sends a superb ball through for Wright-Phillips, but Jensen saves again.

30 mins – Jan-Paul Saeijs clips Paterson, and the referee has an easy decision. Penalty.

Graham Alexander fires home.

34 mins – Paterson booked for dissent.

43 mins – Adam Lallana passes the ball wide after Wright-Phillips beats Rhys Williams.

44 mins – Lloyd James is allowed to cross too easily, and McGoldrick drills home.

46 mins – Lallana's cross is headed wide of the near post by Wright-Phillips.

47 mins – Alexander booked.

55 mins – Kelvin Davis makes an incredible stop from Chris McCann's header from Wade Elliott's cross.

61 mins – Williams clips Euell. Soft penalty.

McGoldrick saves to his left.

63 mins – Michael Duff for Williams.

67 mins – Clarke Carlisle turns in the loose ball after Blake's free kick isn't cleared.

68 mins – Surman misses Duff's clearance, but Rodriguez twices fails to convert.

70 mins – Elliott can't turn the ball in at the far post after McCann heads on Blake cross.

Blake drive deflected over from Paterson centre.

77 mins – Ryan Smith for Lallana.

83 mins – Caldwell booked.

Joey Gudjonsson for Paterson.

84 mins – Saeijs brings down McCann, yellow card.
