A RETRO sweet shop in Nelson is helping the world recall its childhood delights.
The company is expanding rapidly, thanks to global demand for its old-fashioned, home-made range of confectionaries.

The Happy Sweet Shop was initially run from home by founder Simon Brooke, "The Sweet Meister", and has now moved into the Bizspace business centre at Lomeshaye Business Village.

Mr Brooke said: "Our mouth-watering sweets are meant to take you back to your childhood days and we now have a range of several hundred lines, with online customers as far away as Australia.

"Clearly, the recession has not reduced people's appetites for traditional confectionary such boiled sweets, sherbets, coconut mushrooms and mint balls."
