BURNLEY West End blew the chance of a Quest Electrical Supplies Burnley and District Sunday League double on Thursday.
The Third Division champions were hammered 4-1 by Ighten Leigh in the Harry Briggs Memorial Trophy.

Two goals from Speakman did the damage, with Carney and Stopforth also netting, and Price hitting West End's solitary consolation.

Meanwhile, the weekend action saw Tregay's treble keep Healeywood United on course for a league and cup double.

The First Division leaders advanced through the third round of Warburtons Towneley Cup with a 6-2 thrashing of Woodhouse.

Tregay was at the heart of the victory, with a brace from Wood and one from Hoyle completing the scoring.

Burnley Miners also made it through with a 4-0 win at Longside, thanks to a hat-trick from Craggs and one from McGuire.

While the only game played in the First Division saw Embley and Duthoit both on target for Gordon Lennox in a 2-1 win at George IV.

Clarke hit a hat-trick for Burnley Wood Casuals as they won their Second Division clash with Glory 4-2, with Castor also on target.

And strikes from Hanson, Crossley, Cawley and Struthers gave Junction a similar win over Falcon.

In The Third Division, champions Burnley West End ended their campaign with a 3-3 draw against Prairie.

Cross, Pendlebury and Goldsborough netted for the visitors, but Corteen's double and one from McMahon earned West End a share of the spoils.

And goals from Holmes, Brogan, Taylor and Danson handed Ighten Leigh a 4-1 success over Craven Heifer.
