PADIHAM'S pre-season preparations kicked into life on Saturday at Brighouse Town.
However, despite having the better of proceedings, they emerged with a 1-0 defeat.

Paul Barrett's penalty miss two minutes before the break was the sole moment of note in a drab first half.

And they were made to pay when, 10 minutes after the restart, the home side netted the only goal with a header from a corner.

The Storks are in action again tonight when they visit West Lancashire League side Haslingden St Mary's (kick-off 7 p.m.)

And Saturday sees them take two sides to play Manchester League side Gregorians, with kick-offs at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.

Meanwhile, Padiham are appealing for sponsorship for the coming Vodkat North West Counties League season, which gets underway in just over two weeks' time.

Match sponsorship is priced at £50 with ball sponsorship available for £30, while the display of ground advertising boards is priced at £100.

Season tickets are available priced at £40 for adults and £20 for concessions, while vice president status is available for £50, and corporate membership is available for £250.

For more information, or to enquire about sponsorship, contact secretary Alan Smith (771963 or 07775 717698).
