RAILWAY Inn grabbed the first leg of their three-pronged showdown with Padiham Town, by lifting the Harry Walsh Cup last week.
The two are set for a thrilling end to the Burnley and District League season, meeting in the Bob Emmett Cup final as well as battling it out for the league title.

But it was Railway who took the bragging rights at the Arbories on Saturday, winning 2-0 thanks to first half goals from Duane Knappett and Paul Leach.

Town never seemed to cope with the movement of their opponents, with Knappett almost opening the scoring after five minutes only to be denied by Matt Sutcliffe.

But it wasn't long before they grabbed the lead, as Lee Rushton committed a foul on the edge of the area, and Knappett curled in the resulting free kick.

And it was 2-0 when Leach burst through the defence before slotting past Sutcliffe.

Paul Fishwick denied Railway a third before the break when he cleared off the line, but Town came back into it after the break thanks to substitute Ashley Jefferies.

His cross eluded both Fishwick and Williamson in the area, while in the dying stages, a great save from Nick Sharples denied Mick Taylor.

But it wasn't to be for Town, as Railway Inn triumphed and Rob Johnson took the man-of-the-match award.
