BURNLEY College Sixth Form Centre student Mellissa Harden has won a bronze medal in a national college's trampolining competition.
Mellissa, 19, who is on the BTEC National Diploma in Sport and Exercise Science course, qualified for the competition at Loughborough University after finishing fourth out of 40 females in a regional qualifying event.

A trampolining coach at Fearns Community Sports Centre and St Peter's Centre in her spare time, Mellissa competed against over 50 of the country's top trampoliners.

Sport lecturer Ashleigh Bayliff said: "Mellissa only recently returned to trampolining competitively, which makes qualifying for the national competition and winning a bronze medal an outstanding achievement.

"We're all really proud of her success, and look forward to supporting her in competitions in the future."
