PADIHAM booked their place in the last four of the Ramsbottom Cup with victory over Oswaldtwistle Immanuel.
Paid man Kashif Siddique top-scored with 41 and grabbed two wickets as his side triumphed by 29 runs.

And that set up a semi-final date with Clitheroe on Sunday week, July 5.
Batting first on Sunday, both he and Abdul Saddique made a positive sta
rt to the innings, laying the foundations for their eventual score of 207.

Siddique smashed six fours in his knock, while Saddique added 38 of his own with five boundaries.

Professional Siddique holed out to Alamgir Anwar off Gerard Metcalf while Imran Abid claimed the wicket of Siddique, but Umar Saddique (45) and John Bushell (21) picked up the baton.

Saddique in particular ripped into the Immanuel bowlers, hitting five fours and three sixes before eventually being caught by Abid off Gerard Metcalf.

Naveed Ashraf then weighed in with 31 of his own midway through the order, with that knock coming off just 28 deliveries with three boundaries and two sixes.

But Alamgir Anwar picked up three wickets as he cleaned up the tail end, bringing the innings to an end four balls early.
In reply, the wickets were shared out as many batsman got starts only to fall cheaply.

Opener Andrew Kerr smashed seven fours and two sixes before falling two short of his half century, caught by Lee Anderson off Siddique.
Phil Howard (28) and Andrew Metcalf (29) got starts, but fell to Naveed Ashraf and Andrew Metcalf respectively as they were eventually all out for 178.

Mehmood, Ashraf, Siddique and Umar Saddique all grabbed two wickets apiece, as Immanuel were all out with just over two overs remaining.
Meanwhile, on Saturday, Padiham became the latest side to become victim to the Baxenden bandwagon.

The side from Back Lane went into this match topping the table with 10 wins from 10 games, and that run continued at the Arbories with a 14-run victory.

Padiham did in fact make early inroads into the visitors' line-up, removing opener Callum Waddington for just two with 18 on the board.
Dangerous professional Babar Naeem also departed relatively cheaply for 21, and when Mark Rishton was castled by Kamran Farooq, Baxenden were 68-3.

But Ian Austin and Lewis McIntosh picked up the innings admirably, with Austin rattling up a half century and McIntosh falling just eight short of recording his own.

The pair stemmed the flow of wickets and helped post a total of 165-7 from their 45 overs, but even that was a total that Padiham would have been confident of overhauling.

However, wickets fell at regular intervals, with both openers, Siddique and Abdul Saddique, only making 16.
Umar Saddique got a start only to depart for 21, while John Bushell (9) and Lee Anderson (10) departed cheaply.

Nesir Mehmood did bring some fight to the innings with 42 off just 36 balls, including two fours and three sixes, but he was trapped leg before to Gary Sudworth, Padiham's hopes of victory virtually went with him.

Both Farooq and Kevin Hitchon were run out, as Padiham were all out for 151.
And they will hope to get back to winning ways in the league on Saturday at Clitheroe (wickets pitched 1-30 pm).
