Workers evacuated after fire

WORKERS were evacuated after a skip caught fire at Aircelle in Bancroft Road, Burnley.
Some 20 workers from surrounding buildings had to be evacuated as smoke from the fire spread.
Fire-fighters were called to the incident at 11-45 p.m. yesterday and spent an hour tackling the blaze.
The building was heavily smokelogged and fire-fighters used breathing apparatus and a ventilation unit to help clear the premises of smoke.
The fire was confined to the skip and treated as accidental.
