A BURNLEY student was given a very special present for her 16th birthday when she met her uncle for the first time – Bristol City's powerhouse forward Lee Trundle.
Blessed Trinity pupil Megan Trundle, who lives in Brunshaw Road, could not believe it when the Championship striker made a guest appearance at her party at the Irish League Club.
The £1m. goalscorer had travelled to the North-West for a family christening at St John's Church, Ivy Street, which took place shortly after his side recorded a 1-0 victory against the Clarets at Turf Moor.
The former Swansea City hero presented his niece with a signed Bristol City shirt which donned his name and number on the back and then took time to sign autographs for fans.
Lee's uncle, Mr Albert Trundle (71), said: "He had been promising Megan that top for some time and decided to surprise her with it on her birthday.
"It was the first time the two had met so it was a nice moment for them both. He said he would like to come back to Burnley to meet the rest of our large family so hopefully we will be seeing him again."
