A RETIRED Burnley woman is looking forward to the holiday of a lifetime after winning the annual Pendleside Hospice Lottery Grand Holiday Draw.
Mrs Marina Burrell (65), of Clifton Farm, is this year's luck winner scooping £3,000 worth of holiday vouchers and £1,000 spending money courtesy of Althams Travel.

The company sold tickets for the draw from all three of its branches in Burnley and Pendle and their generosity means the hospice has benefited to the tune of £7,305.

The weekly draw, where £1,000 in cash can be won, has helped raise £180,000 for the hospice in the last year and fund-raising manager Mrs Christina Cope said: "It's a great part of my job, telling people they have won a prize like this. The money raised really helps the hospice and the lottery is an integral part of our fund-raising programme."

Mrs Burrell said the news of her win had chased away the winter blues.
"It was a really nice surprise when I found out," she said. "I couldn't believe it. I have four grandchildren so I think I'm going to plan a nice family holiday. I'm going to take some brochures home with me and have a good look through."
