DRINKERS at the Tim Bobbin can rejoice at news the popular watering hole is being restored to its former glory.
The Padiham Road pub is to be completely renovated after plans were submitted by Samuel Smith Old Brewery.

Instead of plumping for a modern look, though, the owners have decided to return the building to its original form.

All extensions carried out in the last 30 to 40 years will be demolished and the historic pub will be split up into four smaller rooms.

Old-style windows are going to replace any modern style ones and the basement beer store also looks set to be restored.
