BURNLEY'S Turf Moor has welcomed Prince Edward, the Earl of Wessex.
The Prince met young Duke of Edinburgh bronze award winners, which had been completed at Burnley Football Club, the only football club in the North West that delivers the scheme.

And the Clarets might gain two royal fans as the Earl was presented with Burnley Football Club shirts for his children, Louise and James.

After meeting the 23 award winners and their families, Prince Edward signed the club's visitor book. Clarets legend Jimmy McIlroy helped present the awards and the Earl also had lunch with chairman Mr Barry Kilby.
