Prince Edward arrives in Burnley

THE Earl of Wessex has arrived in Burnley.
After landing in Towneley by helicopter Prince Edward was whisked to Turf Moor where he was greeted by dignitaries including the Mayor and Mayoress, Coun. Peter McCann and Mrs Mary McCann, chief executive of Burnley Borough Council Mr Steve Rumbelow and chairman of Burnley Football Club Mr Barry Kilby.

He is at the ground to present Duke of Edinburgh awards to young people from the area.
