PRINCE Charles is to forge a special partnership with Burnley, the Express can today reveal.
The Prince will visit the town on a special fact-finding mission on Thursday, February 21st, as the first stage of a project which aims to help regenerate the area.

During his visit the Prince will visit sites across the borough and meet key local civic and business leaders to discuss a strategy to build a better Burnley.

As well as taking a hands-on interest in the town's future, a number of the Prince's charities and the Prince's Business in the Community organisation will be supporting the borough by arranging for regional and national business leaders to visit Burnley to offer support and expertise to business and community projects.

And the Burnley Express has also been invited to play a key role in the project partnership as the local media partner

What a waste of time. He and his family are an anachronism and have no part in a modern egalitarian society. All that this means is that those of us who pay rates will have to cough up extra cash to police the circus when it breezes into town.

Don't be so miserable. Bringing business leaders to Burnley can only do good for those people who need help.

People, please! Stop and think for a moment before you leap off into a rant on this. Whatever you think about the Royal Family, the fact is that the Prince is bringing literally millions of pounds of investment to Burnley, bringing top businessmen like Stuart Rose (Marks and Spencer) and Philip Green (BHS) with him. This visit will be an extremely important event in Burnley's development, and the people really do have to get behind it in a big way. If you care about Burnley, please support the Prince's visit.
