Police investigate suspicious blazes

POLICE are investigating two suspicious fires in Mitchell Street, Burnley, last night.

Fire-fighters were called to Temple Motors at 9-30 p.m. where they extinguished a LDV Convoy minibus which been set alight in the compound.

Just two hours later they were called to a shed fire at the back of house in Mitchell Street, a couple of properties down from Temple Motors.

The shed fire had spread to the back of the house and smokelogged the living room so a ventilation unit had to be used to clear the room of smoke.
