MOUNTED police will be patrolling the Gannow area of Burnley today as part of a new operation to crack down on crime.
Operation Fardel is aiming to cut criminal damage, burglary and auto crime in the Gannow, Accrington Road and Trinity areas of town, and officers on horses will be present in these areas over the coming weeks.

Residents will be able to drop in to a mobile surgery to talk to police and share concerns about their neighbourhoods.

Keep checking the Express and this website for dates and times of surgeries and news on Operation Fardel.

this is just another gimmick and a waste of tax payers money. It will take more than a few police on horseback to sort out the absolute mess in todays society created by 30 years of weak goverments
