A MAN was mugged for his mobile phone as he walked home from a night out over the weekend.
The 52-year-old man was punched in the face by his attacker as he walked past the Turf Hotel in Yorkshire Street at 1-30 a.m. on Saturday.

His Motorola mobile phone worth £60 was then grabbed by the offender, who made off. The victim was bruised but was not badly injured in the attack.

The attacker is described as a white male, 6ft. tall, in his early 20s, and has short blond hair. Police are appealing for witnesses to the attack, or anyone who knows anything about the incident, to call Burnley Police Station on 425001 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
