A WARM welcome was afforded to visitors to the 37th Higham Arts and Crafts Festival.
In St John's Church, Saturday's organathon supplied food for the soul as the organists, including church organist Mr Robert Fergusson, of Padiham, played people's favourite hymns and selections of spiritual music.
The standard and diversity of the arts and crafts in the main exhibition was staggeringly high, including artists and crafts people from the village itself, from Padiham and other parts of Burnley.
A fascinating panorama of Burnley, being sold as a print from an original oil by its artist, Stephen Ormerod of Padiham, gave visitors plenty to look at.
Handmade cards, jewellery and beaded bags also captured the imaginations of the nimble-fingered with artistic streaks.
And there was a whole host of home-made tasty treats on offer.
