Masked gang confront police at Worsthorne pub

A GANG of around 30 men wearing balaclavas burst into a Worsthorne pub.
The men, believed to have travelled from Manchester in five high-powered cars, arrived at the pub in Church Sqaure around 5 p.m. yesterday.

Around 12 officers were deployed to the pub and the police helicopter was also sent up.

One of the gang is believed to have driven at a police officer narrowly missing him.

Nine men have been arrested and currently in custody. It is believed the group was looking for a man from Burnley.
