Double stabbing - police hunt latest

POLICE have appealed for witnesses after two young men were stabbed at a house in Humphrey Street, Brierfield, on Easter Sunday evening.

The men are thought to have been attacked with a knife and another weapon by offenders who called at the house and were let in at around 9-50 p.m.

One is said to have sustained seven minor wounds to his arm, leg and side. The second suffered one minor injury as he tried to intervene.

The offenders left the scene in a vehicle. Both injured men were taken to hospital but not detained.
