Burnley crime file May 15th

THIEVES stole a projector and laptop computer from Hameldon Community College in Byron Street, Burnley.

A PROJECTOR was taken when thieves broke into Whittlefield Primary School in Tabor Street, Burnley.

A WOULD-BE thief tried to steal lead from the roof of St Mary's Primary School in Holcombe Drive, Burnley, but he was stopped by anti-vandal paint.


A RED Rover and white Peugeot both stolen from Todmorden Road in Burnley were later found abandoned on playing fields at Towneley Park.

THIEVES broke into an Astra van parked in Coal Clough Lane, Burnley. A JVC two channel 600 watt amplifier, iPod nano MP3 player, Tom Tom sat-nav. and a silver Minolta digital camera were taken.

A TOM Tom sat-nav. and a quantity of CDs were stolen from a Honda Civic parked in Ighten Road, Burnley.

THIEVES stole a Toshiba Satellite laptop computer worth £1,000 from a car parked in Marton Drive, Burnley.

A CAN of lager, pink purse, £2 in change and CDs were stolen from a Peugeot 306 parked in Coultate Street, Burnley. Thieves also left the contents of a black rubbish bag strewn all over the seats.

THIEVES stole a projector from Ridgewood Community High School in March Street, Burnley.
