MUSIC fans braved snow, rain and wind to get their fix of the blues this weekend as artists from around the world rocked the crowds.
The 20th annual Burnley National Blues Festival at the Burnley Mechanics showed that the weather may have been bad but the music was up to its usual great standard.

The rest of the weekend saw powerhouse sets from big names and blues heavyweights such as Little Willie Littlefield, Mike Sanchez and the Potions, Angela Brown, Connie Lush, Duke Robillard Band, Henry Butler, Nick Moss and the Flip Tops and Boo Boo Davies.

Great performances were also on the bill at the Blues fringe festival, with The Bacchanalians, Blues Train, Condition Black and Columbia, Superfly, Twisted Wheel, Rob Livesey and Junkhouse Dog at venues such as The Talbot Hotel and The Bridge Bier Huis, to name but a few.

Don't miss the full story of the blues festival in Friday's Burnley Express.
