WOULD-BE thieves broke into Co-op Travel in Curzon Street, Burnley, but escaped empty-handed.
A TOM Tom sat-nav., Nokia mobile phone and a brown leather wallet were stolen from a Ford Connect van parked in Shakespeare Street, Padiham.

THIEVES stole an Audi Q7, registration number DJ57 YUS, and a BMW 325 convertible, with the registration K40 JCS, worth £86,000 were stolen from a house in Goldfield Avenue, Burnley. The cars were stolen at 7-10 p.m. yesterday.

ITEMS worth £1,684 including a Playstation 3, computer games, DVDs, books and an Acer laptop were stolen from a house in Cog Lane, Burnley.
