A BURNLEY boy, who was struck down with meningitis, had his dreams come true when he got the once-in-a-lifetime chance to meet his heroes from favourite football team Chelsea.
Joshua Ford (9) travelled with his parents Darren and Lisa and sister Lauren (8) down to Stamford Bridge, where they received VIP treatment and Joshua had his picture taken with his footballing idol Didier Drogba.

The family were put up in the four star Copthorne Hotel overlooking the ground and had lunch with the players' wives and families.

"When we went into the glassed area we saw Frank Lampard's wife and Joe Cole's family. Joe Cole's grandma said she wanted to adopt Josh," said Darren.

After watching Chelsea beat Manchester City 6-0, Joshua and his dad went down to the players tunnel where they met stars including captain John Terry and Didier Drogba. Darren said: "Josh absolutely loved it, seeing the six goals and getting to meet his favourite players was fantastic. His face just lit up when he saw them."
