A BURNLEY mum-of-two who thought she would never get married as she felt she was "too slim" has wed her partner of 16 years in a dream ceremony.
Jenette Nolan (33), who lives off Padiham Road, married Kevin Ingham (44) at St Mary Magdalene's Church in front of 140 well-wishers 16 years after they got together.

But despite being a couple for years and having two children, the pair put off wedding plans as Jenette wanted to put on weight before they set a date.

She even appeared on the Channel 4 show "Supersize vs Superskinny" in a bid to put on a few pounds. During the show she put on 2lb. and has since increased her weight to 7st. but said she has learned to be happy with her size eight frame.

"I never had the confidence to get married and have all that attention but going on the show was a turning point," she said. "I've realised everyone has things about their body they don't like.

"I've got two beautiful daughters and I am grateful for that.

"On the day I was ecstatic. Normally I worry a bit about how I look, but I didn't have any nerves at all. The day couldn't have been any better. It was my dream wedding."

Jenette, who was walked down the aisle by her mum Mrs Jennifer Aspinall and given away by step-dad Mr Willie Carruthers, wore an ivory gown with train, a lace jacket and cathedral veil.

She was attended by her bridesmaids, the couple's eldest daughter Jessica (11) and friends Andrea Elliott, Donna Gill and Joanne Jane, who wore turquoise dresses, and the couple's youngest daughter Olivia (5), who wore an ivory dress, was a flowergirl.

Best man was Mr Laurance Gorman and the couple had six ushers Mick Cocks, Stephen Ingham, Stephen Cassidy, Lee Cassidy, Shaun Barker and Jamie Carruthers. The couple's nephew Leo Cassidy was a pageboy.

Following the ceremony, the couple held a reception at the Masonic Hall in Burnley and an evening reception at the Kestrel Suite. The couple will honeymoon with their children in Disneyland Paris.

Jenette's mum Mrs Aspinall said: "It was a terrific day. Jenette kept saying it was the best day of her life. She looked beautiful, like a princess.

"It was just magic."
