REPORTS of the Clarets taking Manchester United forward Sean Evans on trial are wide of the mark.
It was rumoured that Burnley were set to run the rule over the 21-year-old, who can play on the left flank or up front.

However, I understand the Shropshire-born player, who has yet to feature in the first team at Old Trafford, is not someone Clarets boss Owen Coyle has his eye on with a view to filling the problematic left-side berth at the club.

Coyle recently took Evans' United reserve team-mate Ritchie Jones on trial, spending a week training with the club, and impressing in the reserve game against Chester City a fortnight ago.
