TWO weeks after knocking Fulham out of the Carling Cup, Owen Coyle is in action at Craven Cottage tonight.
The Clarets boss will line-up for the Republic of Ireland legends against their England counterparts at Craven Cottage, in a game televised live on ITV4 at 7-45 p.m.

The game, the third in ITV4's 2008 Legends series sees former internationals line up for The Johnny Haynes Memorial Cup.

Coyle, born in Scotland, was eligible to play for the Republic due to his Irish ancestry, and earned one cap, coming on as a substitute for Tommy Coyne against Holland in April 1994.

The England Legends squadm including Paul Merson, Lee Sharpe, Nigel Winterburn and Ray Parlour, will be managed by former Everton, Manchester City and England midfielder Peter Reid, who was interviewed for the vacant managerial post at Turf Moor, which Coyle ultimately filled last November.

Coyle is expected to line-up alongside the likes of Mark Kinsella, Eddie McGoldrick, Ray Houghton, Kenny Cunningham, Alan Kernaghan, Dennis Irwin, David Kelly, Kelham O'Hanlon, Niall Quinn, Liam O'Brien, Frank Stapleton, Jason McAteer, John Byrne and Curtis Fleming.

Lester Holcombe, organiser of The Legends: England v Ireland, said: "The Legends: England v Ireland will give football supporters from all over London and the south the chance to experience the unique carnival atmosphere of Legends football.

"It is also brilliant news that Fulham are going to celebrate the life of Johnny Haynes at the game, he was a true football legend and a loyal servant of a club he clearly loved."

The England Legends will be looking to bounce back to winning ways after losing 5-1 to Germany at Bramall Lane in August, with Lee Sharpe on target.

In the first game of The 2008 Legends Series, in May, the England Legends beat Scotland 2-0 at St. Mary's, thanks to goals from Stan Collymore and Steve Hodge.

Tickets for The Legends: England v Ireland are £14 for adults (over 16) and £8 for OAPs/Students, plus booking fee and available from Fulham Football Club's Box Office on 0870 442 1234 or through their website.

All Legends football game operate a 'Kid-A-Quid' scheme; all children under 16 will gain entry to The Legends for just £1.
