DERBY County right back Tyrone Mears looks set to be Burnley's first signing of the summer.
The Clarets have had a bid accepted for the 26-year-old, who spent last season on loan at Marseille.
Mears started his career at Manchester City, and has gone on to play for Preston North End and West Ham, before joining the Rams in the summer of 2007 for £1m.
Manager Owen Coyle said: "The two clubs have agreed a fee and talks with a view to making the transfer permanent will take place when the player and his representative return from holiday."
