ARSENAL beat Burnley at the Emirates stadium on Saturday, but the Clarets gave the Gunners a fight till the end.
Arsenal captain Fabregas gave the Gunners the lead when he latched onto a beautiful chipped ball from Samir Nasri and slotted past a despairing Jensen.

Burnley levelled the game early in the second half, when Leon Cort headed the ball into the Arsenal area and David Nugent lobbed the ball over the hapless Almunia.

Unfortunately that was as good as it got, as Theo Walcott restored the Gunners lead. He picked up a pass from Bendtner and was allowed to run at the Burnley defence before picking his spot and gliding the ball in to the net.

Burnley could have levelled again when Almunia spilled a corner and let the ball fall at the feet of Steven Thompson, who turned and shot, but his effort was just over the bar.

Arsenal killed the game off in the dying seconds, when Arshavin jinked his way into the box before shooting powerfully past Brian Jensen.
