MORE than 12 months in the planning, Burnley's Big Art Project has been hitting the headlines regularly.
The amazing project, which promises to "bring wonder and magic to Burnley's grey and hidden spaces", has been spearheaded by a group of 15 local teenagers in partnership with acclaimed UK arts collective Greyworld.

The artists, led by Andrew Shob
en, have used Burnley as a living canvas to create a series of "invisible" paintings and projections, which appear and disappear throughout the day and night, at sites across the town centre. Some are as big as a house some as small as a door.

A huge town centre celebration will unveil the work on Friday, March 14th.

Three more artists are also working in Burnley Wood, South West Burnley, Stoneyholme, Daneshouse and Duke Bar.

The Big Art Project was set up by Channel 4 and is supported by Arts Council England and The Art Fund, the UK's leading independent art charity.

Burnley is one of seven areas chosen for the Big Art Project and the whole process is being filmed for broadcast on Channel 4 later this year.
