Operator who sent racist jokes keeps job

The operator who sent racist jokes to a student has avoided the sack.
Kameron Abbas, a student at the University of Central Lancashire, is seeking legal action after receiving offensive messages about Asians from 118 118.

Now, the telephone operator says it has reprimanded the operator who sent the jokes but has not dismissed the employee. But Mr Abbas, 21, of Accrington, said: "We are looking to sue for racial discrimination."
