Community centre at heart of Burnley neighbourhood set for new lease of life as re-opening announced
Calico Homes announced this week that it will re-open and manage Burnley Wood Community Centre following the approval of a license agreement with Burnley Council.
The centre, in Springfield Road, will re-open to the public once renovation work is complete and in line with current covid-19 guidance, creating a safe space for the community.

"We are looking forward to seeing and working with local people to make the centre a success in the future.”
After serving as a home for various community groups and local companies the building came into the hands of Burnley Council nine years ago and, alongside community partners, it became a multi-purpose centre run by a dedicated band of volunteers.
A playgroup and luncheon club were among the popular events held at the centre.
