Man dies after taking ‘ecstasy’ pills: police warning
Paramedics and police were called to a property in Fern Bank, Nelson, in the early hours of this morning (Sunday) after the man had allegedly taken a number of these tablets. He was rushed to the Royal Blackburn Royal Hospital but was pronounced dead a short time later.
The tablets are described as a turquoise colored shield shape.

Hide AdThe police have today urged anybody who has similar tablets to hand them into the police to prevent anyone else from falling ill or any potential further deaths.
A spokesman said: “If you have taken illegal drugs or if you know someone who has become unwell after taking illegal drugs and require urgent medical care call 999 and ask for the ambulance service.
“If you have information about the supply of this drug or other illegal drugs call Lancashire Police on 101 or pass information anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
