63 knives have been recovered in a month by Burnley Police as a crackdown on knife crime continues.
The knives - an assortment of lengths and types - were placed in a specific bin on Centenary Way as part of Operation Sceptre - a police initiative to tackle knife crime.
A spokesman for Burnley and Padiham Police said: "63 knives recovered from the town centre knife bin this month. This is all part of the national knife amnesty scheme together with Operation Sceptre, which is an anti-knife crime campaign. These knives are placed in this specific knife bin on Centenary Way. A good amount recovered and potentially a fantastic amount taken from the streets."
